Kawhia residents dig deep for defibrillator
After fundraising for a new ambulance station only six years ago, residents of the Kawhia area have again dug deep into their pockets and helped to fundraise $40,000 to enable the St John Area Committee in Kawhia to purchase a defibrillator for the community and a life-sized training manikin.

On Friday 25 June St John in Te Aroha will be holding a 24-hour fun form of triathlon to raise money to buy a defibrillator that will be placed in the town and available for the Te Aroha community in an emergency.
